How to Play Solitaire

Game Rules

The goal of the game is to move all the cards to the foundations, keeping your mind agile in the process.

Each foundation should contain cards from one suit only (Diamonds, Hearts, Clubs, or Spades). You can only move cards to foundations in ascending order – starting with Ace, Two, Three, and all the way up to a King.

The Stock:

Tap the stock to move 1 or 3 cards to the waste (1 or 3 cards – depending on the game mode you chose from the options menu). Once the stock is empty, tap it to return all the cards from the waste back to the stock.

Cards can be moved to the piles from the waste or from another pile, in the following cases:

1. Only a King can be moved to an empty pile.
2. All other cards can be moved over other cards if they are in descending order and in an alternate color.

For example: 8 of Diamonds (Red) can be moved over 9 of Clubs (Black). Queen of Spades (Black) can be moved over King of Hearts (Red).

A group of cards can be moved together onto another pile if the top card can be moved.

For example: A group of 5 of Diamond, 4 of Clubs, and 3 of Diamond can be moved on top of 6 of Spades.

When the game starts, some of the cards in the piles are facing down. They will be automatically flipped if no other cards are stacked on top of them - the key to winning in Solitaire is to flip all the cards!

Vegas Rules:

Vegas Rules differ from the classic rules by the fact that for the draw 1 game - only one pass is allowed through the stock, and for the draw 3 game – only 3 passes are allowed.

Vegas games start with -52 points, and 5 points are awarded for each card that is moved to the foundation, so you will need to move 11 cards for a positive score.

Tips:

• Move cards by dragging them, or just tap a card to move it automatically to the next available spot.
• Remember, not all Solitaire games have a solution, so if you can't find a solution, start again or play a solvable game from the menu. Solvable games are guaranteed to have a solution (although it may not be an easy solution).
